Go Bluey/Denim Day

In conjunction with several Ravalli County organizations, including SAFE, Bitterroot Discovery Children’s Museum, The Bitterroot Cares Prevention Coalition, and many others, we held a community family event entitled, “Go Bluey/Denim Day.” This all-day event will support the prevention messaging of National Child Abuse Prevention Month (known in Montana as Strengthening Families Month) as well as National Domestic Abuse Prevention Month.

The activities throughout the day included positive messaging around protective factors and creating strong bonds both within the family and in the community as a whole. Resources and information from social service community groups were shared with those in attendance, and there were a number of “take-home” reminders shared to keep the messaging visible after the event. In total, we had about 125 people attend and approximately 30 volunteers.
