Fallon County Happenings

Fallon County Prevention Specialist, Beth Regan, set up a table at the Baker Jam basketball tournament providing supplies for children, families and teams to make posters supporting their favorite team or player.  A new feature this year was a wheel that players could spin.  Whatever number the wheel stopped at had a corresponding question for them to answer.  They then were allowed to choose a prize.  This was a very popular feature and kids came back again and again, even when they did not continue to get to pick a prize.  It allowed for many interesting conversations and insights from youth.

A few handy people have agreed to make crocheted stuffed animals for the Baker Foster Care Closet.  These will be a nice addition to other items provided for new foster kiddos in the community.

A Mother’s Day craft of floral bookmarks will be provided at the public library as a gift for Moms or other loved ones.

PS will be setting up a table at the Fallon County Health Fair with information including EMCMHC brochures, ParentingMontana.org, 988 and Let’s Face It resources.

The Day Treatment Equine group did some fun activities with the horses including making paintings and grooming and braiding the hair of the horses.
